1. Who we are

Number Quest (numberquest.me) is a free math game run by Corbi.au (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what information the service handles and the choices you have. You can reach us at hello@moonvibe.me.

2. Playing as a guest

You can play without an account. In that case your stars, streaks, experience points, topic progress, chosen trail and light or dark theme are saved only in your own browser (local storage) on your own device. We do not receive them. Clearing your browser data removes them.

3. If you create an account

When you sign in with Google or with an email address and password, we store your name, email address and profile picture (if Google provides one), a sign-in identifier, and, if you use a password, a securely hashed version of it. We never see your Google password.

While you are signed in we also keep session records, which include a session token, its expiry time, your IP address and your browser’s user-agent text. These keep you signed in and help protect the account.

Your game progress (experience points, streaks, stars, topic scores, daily best and games played) is saved to your account so it can follow you between devices.

4. Why we use it

We use this information only to run the service: to sign you in, to save and sync your progress, to keep the service secure, and to fix problems. We do not sell your personal information, we do not show ads, and we do not use it to build advertising profiles.

5. The optional tutor

When you ask the practice tutor to explain a question another way, the text of that question, its correct answer and the starter explanation are sent to xAI, which generates the reply. We do not send your name, email address or account details with that request. Please do not type personal information into the tutor.

6. Cookies and similar storage

Signed-in users have a session cookie that keeps them signed in. Local storage in your browser holds your guest progress and theme choice. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, and we do not run third-party analytics.

7. Who handles data for us

We rely on a few providers to run the service, and they process data on our behalf: Vercel (hosting, which sees standard request information such as IP addresses), a managed PostgreSQL database provider (where account and progress data is stored), Google (sign-in, if you choose it) and xAI (the tutor).

Our pages also load a small script from grok.com that shows a “Created with Grok” badge and the install-to-home-screen helper. Your browser contacts grok.com to fetch it, so that company receives standard technical details such as your IP address.

We may also disclose information where the law requires it.

8. Children

Number Quest is made for learners from age 4 and is designed to work without an account. We do not need a child’s name or contact details to play. Children under 16 should only create an account with a parent or guardian’s involvement. We do not knowingly keep an account for a child whose parent or guardian has not agreed to it. If you believe that has happened, contact us and we will delete it.

9. How long we keep it

We keep account and progress data until you ask us to delete your account, or until it is no longer needed to run the service. Guest data stays on your device until you clear it.

10. Your choices

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your account and progress. Email hello@moonvibe.me and tell us the email address on the account. Depending on where you live, you may have further rights under local privacy law, and nothing here limits them.

11. Security

We use encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords and access controls to protect your data. No online service can promise perfect security, so please use a strong, unique password.

12. Changes

If we change how we handle information, we will update this page and the date below. If the change is significant, we will make that clear on the site.
